Deleting your account
Last updated 2 August 2026
How to do it
Open HYE, go to Settings, and choose Delete my account at the bottom of the page. You will be asked to type your email address to confirm, and it happens immediately. There is no waiting period and nobody has to approve it.
If you cannot sign in, email us at hyehypnosis@gmail.com from the address on the account and we will do it for you.
What is deleted
Everything that is yours, straight away and for good: your account and sign-in, the answers you gave at intake including anything about your health, every check-in you have made, your notes, your bookings, and every recording written for you along with its audio. None of it is archived and none of it can be restored afterwards, by you or by us.
What we have to keep
Payment records, because UK tax law requires us to keep a record of money received. Your account is detached from them, so they carry no name, email or health information. They do keep the payment reference, which Stripe can trace back to the card that paid, so they are not fully anonymous and we would rather say so.
Where John has seen you for a one-to-one session, a limited clinical record may be kept for the period his professional body requires. This is a separate obligation from the app, it applies only if you have actually had a session, and you can ask us exactly what is held.
Your membership
Deleting your account cancels an active HYE Digital membership at the same time. The rest of the period you have already paid for is not refunded, so if you want to use it, cancel the membership instead and delete the account when it runs out.
